Hospital Support
When visiting Mbale Hospital it was found that much of their equipment and facilities were in a state of disrepair. Some limited repairs were able to be carried out during the visits. PONT is investigating ways of helping to make ongoing improvements to this situation.
The hospital already had a small network of a few desktop computers with a satellite link to the internet which had been provided by another charity. PONT provided and installed a wireless extension to this to enable internet access for the laptops that the consultants at the hospital have.
PONT is also planning to ship out some desktop PCs to link into the system to expand the access more widely across the Mbale District hospital.
