July 08 - Apollo Mwyeni visits to receive the Gold Star award off the First Minister of Wales, R. Morgan AM on behalf of Mbale.

June 08 - Edith E. visits to speak at Royal Welsh Show.

Sept 07 - 2 District Directors of Health Care visited Pontypridd to speak at the PONT Supporters Conference 2007. Dr Francis Abweino and Dr Gideon made a big impact.

Feb 07 - Janet & Apollo 2 visit to explotre the machine tool workshop and manage to catch heavy snow and enjoyed every minute of it.

July 06 - Reciprocal visits from 3 head teachers furthering the schools links. One of the highlights was a delightful reception by the Lady Mayoress of RCT- Joyce Cass, where the occasion finished with joyful singing from both the Ugandans and the Lady Mayoress.

 
Aug 06 - Rev. Jackson arrives and is the speaker for the week at a youth camp. He also is interviewed on GTFM radio.

 

June 06 - Apollo Mwenyi (CHAIR OF THE MBALE COMMITTEE)  and Janet Mwenyi (SCHOOLTEACHER) arrive for a 4 week visit and are given a full schedule of speaking engagements , meetings and guided tours. Despite being rushed off their feet they maintained their composure as good ambassadors for the partnership. One of the many highlights was a visit to the Welsh Assembly where our AM Jayne Davidson introduced them to the First Minister Rhodri Morgan.

 

 

 

 

Jan 06 - Vincent (from Jenga) visits for 1 week, speaks at several meetings and is taken on a walk up the Brecon Beacons on one of the coldest days ever.

 

 

 

 

Nov. 05 - Sam Watalatsu (FROM FDNC) and a band of 18 youngsters stop in Pontypridd for 3 days as part of a UK tour arranged by CARE AND SHARE. They put on a couple of fantastic concerts and visit many schools in the area.

 

 

 

Sept. 05 - Edith Wakamure (from UWCM) visits Pontypridd for 5 days. She is welcomed by the AM Jane Davidson, attends a concert in her honour by Cor Meibion Pontypridd and speaks at a joint church service in St Catherine's, read more by clicking here.
