A: All money that is donated to PONT is spent on development projects in Mbale district, Uganda. All individuals who visit Mbale from Wales as part of PONT have to pay for their travel and accommodation costs themselves, and are not subsidised from the charity's coffers. All publicity and administration work is also carried out on a voluntary basis, so every penny donated to PONT is spent on development projects. Some donations to PONT have a specific partnership link or project attached to them and they are spent accordingly. Other general donations to PONT are shared between the various projects that are being undertaken in Mbale. Money is transferred from PONT to indigenous Non Governmental Organisations operating in the Mbale district of Uganda. This money is to be spent on development projects that have been agreed and developed in conjunction with PONT, and that have been costed in advance. All these projects are regularly audited, and outcomes are monitored in order to achieve the best results for the money invested.
